Noyes Winter Wonderland Ball
January 26, 2020 at Kensington Town Hall

The Winter Wonderland Ball on January 26, 2020 was a huge success, as hundreds of royal guests graced Kensington Town Hall with their presence!

The crowd enjoyed a Royal Procession before dancing to the tunes of A Squad Entertainment and crafting crowns and wands. The Royal Reading room offered Stone Soup by Marcia Brown, The Gunniwolf by Wilhelmina Harper, and Bear Snores On by Karma Wilson, acted out by fantastic young volunteers, rounded out by songs and more stories!

Noyes Fairy Tale Ball
January 22, 2019 at Kensington Town Hall

A crowd of princesses, wizards, astronauts and more descended on Kensington on Sunday, January 27, 2019 for the Noyes Fairy Tale Ball. The Ball - one of the Noyes Children's Library Foundation's celebrated "family dance parties" - made every wish come true!

Check out the slide show for pictures of the Royal Procession; dancing with A-Squad Entertainment; the busy craft table; and of course the delightful Reading Room, with non-stop story-time! Many thanks to all for making this such a successful event and helping us Make MORE Noyes!

Jumpin' January Dance Party
January 22, 2018 at Kensington Town Hall

The Jumpin' January Dance Party was a huge success, with over 200 children, parents and grandparents dancing, crafting, and enjoying winter-themed storytime.

NCLF Board member and children's librarian Marion Rutsch and her son Henry held children in thrall with their "felt board" storytellings of The Mitten, by Jan Brett, and Bear Snores On, by Jane Chapman. Click HERE for a full list of Marion's favorite winter picture books to look for in your library!

The ever-energetic Aaron of A-Squad Entertainment kept children moving on the dance floor, while craft tables kept little artists busy.  All in all, it was a great day to
Make MORE Noyes!

Dr. Seuss On The Loose Dance Party
March 11, 2017 at Kensington Town Hall

Kensington Town Hall was turned into the Land o' Seuss for the fantastic Dr. Seuss On The Loose Dance Party in March!  The Cat in the Hat and Thing One and Thing Two greeted the more than 300 guests, while Aaron of A-Squad Entertainment led the lively dancing. Seuss-themed crafts and games kept little hands busy and parents loved taking pictures of their children at the "photo booth".  Meanwhile, a steady stream of families enjoyed special guests reading out loud in the Dr. Seuss Read-a-thon Room.

Wild Rumpus Dance Party
January 22, 2017 at Kensington Town Hall

The Wild Rumpus Dance Party hosted by the Foundation to benefit the Make MORE Noyes Renovation Campaign was a huge success!  “A-Squad Entertainment” kept the more than 300 guests dancing, singing and having a great time.  Kids crafted crowns and masks to celebrate the “Where the Wild Things Are” theme, while the unique Penny Theater performances of Maurice Sendak’s classic picture book entertained and captivated young audiences.  The crowd was also fascinated by Maurice Sendak memorabilia on display – look for more information on the Foundation’s website about Sendak memorabilia for sale.

Check out these photos from the Noyes Night Out
"Noyes Your Way" Paint Night
Nov. 3, 2016 at Angie Kilcullen's Studio  Barn in Kensington

A great night was had by all, as budding painters depicted Noyes Children's Library, guided by artist Angie Kilcullen of Barn Again Home.  Kilcullen donated all proceeds to the Foundation's Make MORE Noyes Campaign!
