Accessible, Inclusive, Welcoming
(not just the letter, but the spirit of ADA)

Expanding to Welcome All

The Make MORE Noyes Renovation Campaign will make Noyes not only ADA compliant, but universally accessible, inclusive and welcoming for all individuals with physical, intellectual and emotional challenges.

This is a tall order for building encompassing less than 1200 square feet, and going on 125 years old!  But the Foundation and MCPL are determined to accomplish just that, while also:

-  maintaining the historic integrity of the original Noyes Library by honoring its unique character and purpose in the community; and

- expanding the space available within the Library in a way that will enable it to better fulfill its early literacy mission, all within the original footprint of the historic building.

The Foundation is working closely with the architectural team appointed by the County to design the Make MORE Noyes Renovation, and will also seek input from MCPL's Accessibility Advisory Committee and the organizations it represents. We will continue to update this page as the design evolves and as public hearings are scheduled.
