NOYES LIBRARY EVENTS

The talented Children’s Librarians at Noyes conduct a wide range of programs, including Baby Storytime; S.T.E.M.-oriented activities like Sciencetellers; Ukulele Sing-Alongs; and Foundation-sponsored Penny Theater Performances.

Some programs are presented in both Spanish and English, and some are tailored for children with visual or hearing impairments.  The cozy, child-centered environment at Noyes sets the perfect tone for fun, fulfilling, and inclusive programming.

A full schedule is available on the Noyes Library page of the MCPL website, listing each program with its age range.  Please note that some activities require pre-registration.

ABCs of Early Literacy

When parents and children PLAY, READ, WRITE, SING and TALK together, they are building a base for reading.  And all of those activities help children develop the SIX PRE-LITERACY SKILLS that lead to a better mastery of the nuts and bolts of reading and comprehension.

What's more, reading together is fun for everyone!

We've got sites with early literacy tips for parents and fun activities for kids.  We've got links to children's authors and illustrators, award sites and reviews.  And we can connect you to libraries and museums around the country that are all about children's literature and literacy.  READ, learn, and enjoy!
