"Let's Play it like it's 1893" - The Noyes Foundation was pleased to organize “Lets Play Like It’s 1893” at the Warner Mansion Celebration on Saturday, May 17th, 2014 from 2 to 4 pm. This event was marking the rehabilitation of the exterior of the historic mansion built by Brainard Warner, who is one of the founders of Noyes Library!
Children enjoyed playing with wooden table games, lined up for sack races, and learned how to play graces, hoop rolling and croquet! In addition, they enjoyed decorating pots and planting Black-eyed Susans in them to take home and plant in their gardens. The Kensington Historical Society provided refreshments for those in attendance which included dignitaries and political figures from the Town of Kensington, Montgomery County and the State of Maryland.
