The Saturday morning sun was shining on Noyes as elected officials from the State of Maryland, Montgomery County and the Town of Kensington came to the Noyes Children's Library Foundation's Open House on June 8, 2019. The Open House was a chance for officials to get to know Montgomery County Public Library's "special branch" and to learn more about the Make MORE Noyes Renovation Campaign.
Delegates Al Carr, Jared Solomon and Emily Shetty, Maryland Senator Jeff Waldstreicher, and County Council members Will Jawando and Gabe Albornoz were among the officials and family members who got to tour the one-story building and learn about plans to expand it to three stories within the 1893 footprint. Kensington Mayor Tracey Furman and Town Council member Conor Crimmins represented the Town of Kensington's strong support for the Make MORE Noyes Renovation.
